BillStock III: A Day of Rock 'n' Roll Revival and Community Giving

BillStock III, held on June 8th at Davis Airport in Gaithersburg, brought together over 300 attendees for a day of music, reunions, and community spirit. The event, hosted by the Sherwood Community Chamber Choir, aimed to raise funds for the Olney Community Youth Choirs.

With performers from the Class of 1980 to the Class of 2025, the Rock 'n' Roll Revival spirit was truly in full effect. The event featured over 50 musicians, most of whom are Sherwood HS alumni, along with some current Sherwood HS students.

The primary goal of BillStock III was to support the Olney Community Youth Choirs, providing resources and opportunities for students in grades 4–8. We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible support of our community, we met our fundraising goal. These resources will help provide musical education and opportunities for students regardless of school affiliation. This fall 2024 season, the Youth Choir will offer two programs — one for students in grades 4–6 and one for students in grades 6–8.

BillStock III was made possible through the generous support of the Davis Airport and Origins BBQ and Grill. Their contributions ensured the event's success and the enjoyment of all attendees.

The organizers hope to host the next BillStock in 2026, aiming to build on this year's success and continue supporting the Olney Community Youth Choirs. Stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved and support choral music in the Greater Olney community.
